Home / ADCAS News / Henrob develops large throat C-frame for RSA ductwork application

Henrob has over 30 years’ experience in the H&V industry, supplying self-piercing rivets and associated equipment to fasten flange onto ductwork components.

The self-pierce riveting process is popular within the industry due to the high joint integrity and rapid assembly time. The rivet does exactly what is says – pierces its own hole in the metal so there is no need to pre-drill or pre-punch holes and the whole process only takes 1-2 seconds. Other advantages include:

Environmentally friendly

No swarf, heat, sparks or fumes

Henrob recently decided to develop a technology to access the centre bracing components for large ductwork applications, where it has recently seen a surge in demand for this type of product. Henrob is able to rivet 2mm formed angle plus 3mm, 4mm and 5mm rolled steel angle, saving hours of repetitive drilling, blind riveting and, in some cases, sealing.
