ADCAS continues to work with Build UK on fairer payments and is committed to helping in the development of a realistic roadmap to zero retentions.

Whilst ADCAS supports Build UK in its recent efforts to outline and implement a clear, long-term plan of action, the organisation firmly believes that a number of issues should be addressed before any such plan is finalised.

From an ADCAS point of view, the fundamental concerns remain the voluntary nature of Build UK’s latest drive toward zero cash retentions by 2025, the speed of implementation and the lack of statutory protection for retention money.

ADCAS has questioned a number of principles laid out in the Build UK roadmap and will continue to push for a fairer and more transparent system during the upcoming consultation.
